,,My intention was to hurt the baby and that's why I punched her in the stomach'', zei de krachtpatser in de rechtzaal. ,,I didn't want to kill it at
the time." Laten ze in New South Wales nou net de wet hebben veranderd. Wie een zwangere vrouw aftuigt die daardoor haar kind verliest, maakt zich nu schuldig aan moord.
Bodybuilder King kan een kwart eeuw achter tralies verdwijnen.
'Mr. Birmingham' says he is steroid-free for Jesus (Birmingham News)
,,Last weekend during a bodybuilding competition at the Alabama Theatre, 38-year-old Michael Bourg won the title "Mr. Birmingham," flexing his muscles as Christian music played in the background. Before and after the competition, Bourg passed out T-shirts featuring the slogan, "Lift for Christ." He was among 26 male bodybuilders in a competition that had no rules against steroids, but Bourg declared he remained steroid-free in his training for the event. "My mission statement was `All natural, all for Christ,'" said Bourg, who works as a project manager for the stone company DMI Tile in Birmingham and attends Hunter Street Baptist Church. Bourg said he routinely used steroids in bodybuilding competitions more than a decade ago. "Bodybuilding competition is a dark sport," he said. "Steroids are accepted." Now he wants to speak out to youngsters on the dangers of drugs and steroids. "I did go through a period of serious depression after I went off those," he said. "It becomes an idol; you're relying on that for your strength instead of the Lord." Bourg said he's 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighed 151 pounds for last week's competition. He competed at 175 pounds in 1993. He said steroids can be a shortcut to being stronger and bigger, but drug use comes with health risks. "I believe that can take you down another road to depression and drinking," he said. "It opens the door to other drugs and can cause physical damage."

Anabolenprofessor kan bodybuilder niet overtuigen (Saginaw News)
"One time I had an amateur body builder in class and he was still using, and he told me that the desire to win was
overpowering even though his body was telling him things," Minelli said. "This is classic."

It doesn't mean that a rider will become addicted to cocaine through cycling. But yes, you become dependent on other things such as antidepressants, Prozac. You take two tablets a day and you are already euphoric. All of that leaves you with an addiction. It's not positive. The tablet of happiness, I've heard it being called...You don't sleep. So many days, so much pressure and stress. In the morning, breakfast, then the bus, this and that, race, shower, massage, supper, another thing. You resort to Prozac, Floxetina, they are drugs that really hook you.''
