0 7 - 1 2 - 2 0 0 4 Gym man had drugs business
Dec 7 2004
An award-winning body builder who operated a Staffordshire fitness centre also ran a drug dealing business from his home in Lichfield with an annual turnover of £300,000, a court heard yesterday.
Simon Fan (32) was arrested after police raided his home and found steroids, date-rape tablets and other substances worth tens of thousands of pounds.
Peter Haynes, prosecuting at Stafford Crown Court, said it was not possible to work out the full range of their business but a diary owned by Fan listed £25,955 for one month.
Fan, of Harrington Walk, Lichfield, who owned the Three Spires Fitness Centre, Bird Street, Lichfield, and David Whitehouse (44) of Bush Drive, Rugeley, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply drugs.
Whitehouse was ordered to carry out 120 hours community service. Sentence on Fan was adjourned for reports.

Things have taken a turn for the worst for well known UK bodybuilder Simon Fan. He will be enjoying his Xmas dinner this year in HMP Winson Green.
He is currently on remand (unable to get bail) awaiting a trial in Crown court for Possesion with intent to supply Class A, B and C Drugs. Police stated they have seized £100K worth of Drugs in Operation Tarantula.
This wasn't about just a few roids. Police had been watching Fan for some time, and found he had been peddling coke and E's. They did find roids as well they were apparently stacked floor to ceiling in boxes at his house.
Fan is looking at the best part of 12 years with the Law seizing his assets to use in the fight against drugs. Thats houses, cars and a gym. Lets spare a thought for those less fortunate than ourselves, this Xmas.
Ho Ho Ho.
