A factory for the production of anabolic steroids has been discovered by police in Milton Keynes.
Officers arrested two people at a house where they found chemicals believed to be used for the factory.
Police raided the property after customs officers earlier intercepted a package of 100 stun guns at Heathrow Airport.
The haul led them to an address in Kempston, Beds where they discovered CS spray, BB guns, swords and knuckledusters. They arrested three people. They finally went to a Milton Keynes address where they found the chemicals and arrested a further two people.
"We believe this haul was being bought in from the Far East and destined for international markets including Ireland and Sweden. It's undoubtedly a source of extremely dangerous weapons which we are glad to have taken off the streets," said Det Con Mark Stewart of Greyfriars CID.
The five people were arrested on suspicion of possession of prohibited weapons and bailed pending further enquiries.
