2 8 - 0 5 - 2 0 0 6 TRAFFICKING OF DOPING SUBSTANCES - OPERATION CHARGES 44 PEOPLE
Agenzia Giornalistica Italia Rome - Finance police in Rome have seized more than 40,000 pills and medicines, carried out 65 searches and charged 44 people as part of an detailed investigation into a criminal ring working on the sale of doping drugs and their use by sportsmen. In total, the operation shed light on the criminal operation working in Lazio and Sicily, made up of 5 people, accused of criminal association with the aim of anabolic substances and doping substances and fraud on the state and led to the identification of the supply channels and the distribution chain leading to the end user, and to charging a further 39 people.
