2 4 - 0 5 - 2 0 0 6 Bodybuilder sentenced for illegal web drug sales Miami Herald May. 23, 2006 Andrew Schwartz, former operator of TheGrowthClinic.com, was sentenced to 11 months in prison for his role in conspiring to distribute anabolic steroids and other prescription drugs via the Internet. Schwartz, a former competitive bodybuilder, was alleged to have worked with another individual to distribute steroids at ProAnabolics.com, then left to start his own website to market steroids, human growth hormone, and other prescription medications that were illegally imported into the United States from Mexico, China, Spain and other countries. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Ann Marie C. Villafaņa in federal court in Miami. [Link]
