Fitness trainer charged with selling steroids
SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER A 44-year-old personal fitness trainer from Everett was charged yesterday with selling anabolic steroids to undercover officers posing as customers of a 24 Hour Fitness Club. Tyrell Stone was led into U.S. magistrate court in Seattle yesterday to face a three-count complaint accusing him of possessing and distributing the steroids, which can be used illegally to promote quick muscle growth and increases in strength. The investigation began in January when a 24 Hour Fitness manager called a Snohomish County drug task force to report notes found at the club containing the names and prices of steroids. Two task force detectives posed in the club as customers and bought steroids from Stone, according to the complaint. Fitness trainer charged with selling steroids
September 22, 2004 An Everett personal trainer accused of selling steroids to customers at a 24 Hour Fitness center was charged last week with two counts of distribution of anabolic steroids and one count of possession with intent to distribute anabolic steroids. Tyrell Stone, 45, of Mukilteo, allegedly sold performance-enhancing drugs to undercover agents with the Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force. Task-force members went into the club posing as clients seeking personal training from Stone, according to a complaint filed by the U.S. Attorney's Office. Task-force members allegedly purchased steroids from Stone on Feb. 10 and March 5. Stone was arrested March 5. When they searched his car March 11, investigators reported finding drugs, hypodermic needles and what appeared to be customers' names and orders, the court papers said. |
