A Ouachita Parish veterinarian accused of stealing narcotics from the office he worked for was released after posting 16-thousand-250 dollars bond. Vince Epling, of West Monroe, was booked on one count each of possession of steroids, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of stolen property over 500 dollars. Captain Hank Smith of the Metro Narcotics Unit says the owner of Cooper Veterinary Hospital, Clark Cooper, reported that drugs commonly used in his practice had gone missing. After a short investigation, Smith says agents discovered Epling was involved and secured a warrant to search his home. After Wednesday's search, he was booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center.
